Sprouts Face Food Recall Due to E. Coli Contamination On Wednesday, May 21st, health officials in both Idaho and Washington announced that a recent outbreak of e. Coli in the two states could be linked back to raw clover sprouts produced at a farm in Idaho, triggering a food recall. Five of the reported e. Black & Decker Settles for $960,000

The Maryland based Power Tool Company Black & Decker said they will pay $960,000 to settle a claim that it did not report a defective weed trimmer. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulators say Black & Decker "knowingly failed to report several safety defects and hazards and withheld information, relating to its Grasshog XP product.  The agency said this occured while they were investigating reports of the injury. 158 people were injured between 2005 and 2009.
