Army Reservist Pulls Newberry Deputy from Burning Car
WISTV reported that an Army reservist rescued a Newberry county deputy from a burning car in Silversteet on Wednesday. According to the report, the accident occurred at approximately 8:15 am when the deputy was patrolling near Highway 34 and 121. Something caused the deputy’s car to run off the road. He hit a tree, and the impact caused a fire. Lucky for the deputy, an Army reservist was driving by and saw the car in flames.
