On August 30, 2010, I posted an article titled "Johnson and Johnson Hip Implant Failure Rate Prompts Recall." This article discussed Johnson and Johnson"s recall of the DePuy ASR Hip System, also known as the ASR XL Acetabular System. People with the ASR XL Acetabular hip replacement implant have experienced problems such as swelling, pain, and difficulty walking. Johnson and Johnson Hip Implant Failure Rate Prompts Recall

ASR XL Acetabular System Recalled For Its Excessive Failure Rate In the midst of an onslought of recalls by Johnson and Johnson, and a mere two days after the FDA issued a warning letter in which the FDA advised DePuy that two of its product are misbranded, DePuy Orthopaedics,  a Johnson and Johnson company, announced a recall for the ASR XL Acetabular hip replacement system.
