Major Retailers of Nut Butters Under Food Recall for Salmonella On Tuesday, August 19th, the Food and Drug Administration announced that peanut butter and almond butter are under food recall for salmonella, due to a possible salmonella contagion. Major retailers like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are pulling the all-natural nut butters from manufacturer nSPIRED Natural Foods.
