Jury Gives $10 Million to Taser Victim

A 17-year-old Charlotte boy was stuck by a Taser outside a Food Lion in northeast Charlotte in March of 2008, resulting in the boy’s death. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer who struck him violated department policy by shocking the teenager for approximately 37 seconds.
